Job Duties

This position provides essential data analytical support to the Health Services Unit for the Virginia Department of Corrections. This position is critical to the integrity of the medical processes, supporting compliance, data accuracy, performance monitoring, and process improvement. It utilizes tools such as dashboards to analyze trends, produce reports, and improve decision-making that directly affects healthcare service delivery, resource planning, and agency accountability. Additional duties or assignments may be required to meet evolving operational and administrative needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments. Strong understanding of data collection, analysis, and reporting methods, as well as confidentiality standards and the proper handling of sensitive information. Ability to research issues and provide accurate, timely responses. Adaptable to changes in procedures, priorities, and automated systems. Skilled in the use of computer applications, including CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and data-analysis tools. Intermediate in analyzing data, identifying trends, and preparing reports. Competent in operating standard office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, copiers, and fax machines.

Additional Considerations

Experience working in a health services and corrections environment.
