Job Duties

Join our team as a Print & Mail Services Assistant, where you’ll play a key role in supporting essential mail, print, warehouse, and courier operations across the agency. This position is dynamic and fast-paced, offering a wide variety of responsibilities—from coordinating intra-agency and postal deliveries to maintaining warehouse inventory, supporting print and mail production, and ensuring secure document handling. We’re looking for a reliable, detail- oriented professional who can work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and deliver high quality service in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.


Responsibilities of the role:


• Perform daily intra‑agency and USPS courier duties

• Sort, process, and deliver incoming and outgoing mail and express packages

• Maintain warehouse inventory and fill supply and form orders

• Assist with print room operations, inserters, and equipment replenishment

• Operate shredding equipment and follow secure document‑handling procedures

• Support various mail, print, and warehouse functions as a floater when needed



Anticipated hourly wage is commensurate with experience up to $20 per hour. 


This job is performed part time, onsite at the Virginia Tax Westmoreland Street facility. 


The schedule for this position would be on site, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. This schedule could change and include Tuesday or Thursday, based on the business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of mail handling and USPS procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record; experience and/or ability to operate a ¾ ton van

 

Additional Considerations

• Experience in a mailroom, warehouse, print shop, or courier environment
• Familiarity with secure or confidential document handling
• Experience operating mail processing, print, or shred equipment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
