Job Duties

The Chesapeake Health Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior District IT Analyst to join our team. This role offers the chance to lead critical IT projects and drive technological advancements that support district-wide operations. You will be able to manage complex IT projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget. We are seeking your experience and skill set to provide expert guidance on IT solutions that improve operational performance and data integrity. This position reports directly to the Business Manager-C.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum KSAs:
•Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; manage multiple tasks simultaneously, organize and maintain records in an extremely busy environment; work independently with minimal supervision; excellent customer service skills.

•Knowledgeable in federal, state and local government health department policies.

•Working knowledge of general office practices and business math.

•Attention to detail, accuracy, computer expertise including MS Word, Excel, computer databases, MS Access, SQL query language and ability to perform data entry into State software programs and databases.

•Knowledge in information systems management, emphasis in Windows Servers, (LAN) network, ORACLE RDBMS, Windows Operating Systems and client/server architecture in a TCP/IP environment.

•Ability to analyze department's existing delivery systems and evaluate impacts of new information system technology; coordinate and implement new data collection techniques.

Additional Considerations

•Knowledge of public and/or business administration, statistics and research methodology, purchasing and budgetary processes relating to information technology.

•Work experience in a health care setting with multi-disciplinary staff.
