Job Duties
Virginia Tax’s Office of Tax Processing is seeking a highly experienced Operations Supervisor to lead two shifts of data entry operators within a high‑volume, fast‑paced production environment. This role oversees 50 to 100 staff responsible for entering data from approximately 1.8 million tax returns and 1.1 million checks each year, as well as managing a high‑speed scanning operation that generates nearly 10 million images of returns, payments, and correspondence annually. The Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in planning and monitoring daily workflows, allocating assignments across multiple systems, setting and adjusting work schedules to meet production goals, and maintaining detailed productivity reporting for both staff and systems.
Anticipated hiring range is commensurate with experience up to $72,000
This position is located in Richmond, VA at our Westmoreland location.

Minimum Qualifications
• Considerable experience supervising staff in a high volume, production environment
• Experience leading staff in a multiple system environment providing training in the functional use of those system
• Ability to plan and organize work, handle multiple tasks, and adjust priorities as necessary
• Ability to analyze workflow issues and resolve problems and resolve bottlenecks
• Ability to assess the effectiveness of current operating procedures and recommend changes
Additional Considerations
• Experience leading data entry operators/activities
• Experience with taxes, accounting or other relevant fields
