Job Duties
The Business Operations Coordinator at the Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity is responsible for providing financial management assistance and serving as the agency’s Fiscal Lead in the procurement process. Under the direction of The Director of Finance and Administration, the incumbent provides support and assistance in the e-invoicing project development and implementation. This position also serves as a backup to the Business Operations Officer and other Administration team members, to include customer service.
The Business Operations Coordinator will assist with the development and administration of contracts in compliance with APSPM, the Virginia Public Procurement Act, and CAPP regulations. This position will also be responsible for, but not limited to, managing procurement activities, providing support and assistance in the financial management related tasks, backup support for the customer service team, and other special projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable experience in the following areas:
- Virginia Procurement Process, including familiarity with eVA
- Active VCA Certification, or ability to obtain certification within a year
- Familiarity with accounting processes
Additional Considerations
Extensive background in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent combination of training and experience may substitute for a college degree. Experience in data analysis and contract management and knowledge of the Commonwealth’s SPCC Program. Verbal and written bilingual communication skills preferred but not required.
