Job Duties
Education Program Development
• Design, implement, and manage educational programs and campaigns for the public and various stakeholder groups.
• Develop curricula, training materials, and resources aligned with regulatory requirements and public health objectives.
• Ensure educational content is accessible, culturally responsive, and compliant with state standards.
Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach
• Coordinate outreach initiatives, including webinars and workshops, for diverse audiences.
• Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and advocacy groups.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for education-related inquiries.
• Represent the CCA on statewide work groups focused on substance misuse prevention.
Compliance & Regulatory Training
• Develop and deliver compliance training for licensees and Authority staff.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update educational materials accordingly.
• Collaborate with enforcement and licensing teams to identify training needs.
Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor participation, feedback, and learning outcomes to measure program effectiveness.
• Use data and stakeholder input to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and oversight bodies.
• Assist in drafting public health and safety recommendations for new policies and regulatory updates that align with the Authority’s strategic goals.
Supervision and Professional Conduct
• Oversee education staff to ensure consistent, effective educational outcomes.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with all constituencies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful engagement.
Other duties as assigned
• Follow workplace safety regulations and adhere to applicable standards, processes, and programs established for your position.
• Report unsafe work conditions to your supervisor.
• Immediately report work-related incidents to your supervisor and participate in accident investigation requests.
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and public education strategies.
• Understanding of cannabis laws, regulations, and public health considerations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences; ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance.
• Proficiency in program management, curriculum development, and digital learning tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
• Strong analytical skills for program evaluation and reporting.
Required Education and Experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Education, Health Promotion, Health Communication, or related field.
Experience:
• 4–6 years of experience in education program development, training, or public outreach.
• Experience creating educational content and delivering training sessions.
• Familiarity with compliance or regulatory environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for diverse audiences.
Additional Considerations
Education:
• Master’s degree in Public Health, Education, Health Promotion, Health Communication, or related field.
Experience:
• Experience in cannabis regulation, public health education, or government programs.
• Experience supervising teams or projects.
• Certification in instructional design, adult learning, or project management.
• Experience with e-learning platforms and digital content creation.
• Experience implementing public awareness campaigns.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating large-scale initiatives.
