VIB is seeking to fill two Contract Managers for our Chester location. The incumbents will manage a team of employees who perform complex contract closeout support functions for Department of Defense contracts.

Performed Duties:

  • Performed duties as a warranted 1102 contracting officer, contract administrator, or a contractor with significant contract or financial management responsibilities with the federal government.
  • Perform duties without direct supervision, following verbal and written instructions and to accurately conduct self-research and contact outside entities for contract completion document.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. (FA286023F0068 is the federal task order number)


Knowledge/Experience:

• Experience, knowledge or training in the areas of Business, Accounting and/or Finance.
• Working knowledge of business communications practices and procedures, proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.


Skills:

• Significant management level skills and background.
• Highly proficient in MS Office products, Word, Excel, Access and Google Docs with or without adaptive technology.
• Proficient at basic math skills.
• Excellent analytical and independent problem-solving skills
• To function in a team environment, demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• To comprehend written closeout center standard operating procedures, sound verbal and written communication skills.


Abilities:

• Ability to identify and utilize appropriate performance metrics when evaluating the contracts performance.
• Ability to be trained in various Government systems used to perform contract closeout.
• Ability to interpret and analyze information.

Additional Considerations:

  • Significant and progressive experience as a manager or supervisor and in federal contracts in the federal government (DOD). 
  • Team oriented, very good interpersonal written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Significant experience with Contract Close-out, PIEE, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Con IT, or similar federal contract or payment systems.

 

Special Instructions:

  • Pass and maintain a favorable NAC background check conducted by the Defense Security Service for this ADP/IT-II position.
  • This position has been designated a sensitive position under Va. Code § 2.2 1201.1.


This position is exempt from the Virginia Personnel Act (nonclassified).
