Job Duties
This position is open to current DMV employees only. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a DLQA Manager. The DLQA District Manager oversees the quality assurance operations for driver testing and licensing programs statewide. This includes managing audits, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role provides critical leadership, supports DMV strategic objectives, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to implement innovative solutions and maintain operational excellence.
The Driver Training Division supports DMV’s mission by overseeing the Driver Licensing Quality Assurance Department to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery by managing resources, implementing targeted training programs, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
•Comprehensive knowledge of DMV operations, public administration principles, and quality assurance practices
•Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience in team development, coaching and performance feedback and evaluation
•Expertise in data analysis, audit processes, and regulatory compliance
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex information effectively
•Progressive experience in managing quality assurance operations or DMV-related programs
•Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret program performance metrics to identify areas of operational improvements and customer service enhancements
Additional Considerations
•Familiarity with legislative processes and policy development
•Advanced knowledge of CDL testing standards and third-party auditing practices
•Experience preparing and managing DLQA budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective use of resources
