Job Duties

We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Laundry Aide to join our team and help ensure that residents have clean, fresh, and properly maintained linens and personal clothing. This role plays an important part in supporting a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Schedule: 3:00pm-11:00pm. 5 days a week and every other weekend. (including holidays)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Collect, sort, and wash resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry according to established procedures.
• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fold, stack, and distribute clean laundry to designated areas in a timely manner.
• Label and organize residents’ personal clothing.
• Monitor laundry chemicals and supply levels, notifying the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry room, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow infection control guidelines, including proper handling of soiled or contaminated items.
• Report malfunctioning equipment or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
• Assist with special cleaning or linen‑related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, supplies, equipment, and safety practices (training can be provided).
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or long‑term care preferred but not required.
• Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Additional Considerations

Previous long-term care, geriatric, or hospital experience preferred but not required.
