The Systems Analyst - Advanced will perform the functions of a Cloud Systems Analyst working within the Systems Support Team to assist in the design and management of the agency’s cloud systems, on-prem and cloud applications, and enterprise monitoring tools, policies and strategy.

The Systems Analyst - Advanced will provide technical and engineering administration and analysis, problem resolution and performance tuning recommendations for a wide variety of Cloud Infrastructure and Application components in Production and Non-Production environments. The position will collaborate with business and technology teams on requests for enhancements or system changes to deliver quality, cost effective and timely deliverables according to the Agency’s Software Development Lifecycle Methodology (SDLM). The candidate in this role will want to cultivate ironclad relationships

The Systems Analyst Advanced will provide direct support to , but is not limited to, Cloud, SaaS and Low-code application platforms.

The Systems Analyst - Advanced will evaluate and identify the best cloud solutions for the organization. This position will assist in incorporating security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications. Additionally, the position will assist with designs, controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. The position maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. This position requires on-call support for 24x7 Operations as part of a team. The position requires that the candidate participate in training to become a Salesforce Certified Administrator within 6 months of hiring.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of Cloud Computing, SaaS (Software as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service)
• Demonstrated experience in Systems Analysis and Systems Design
• Demonstrated Cloud and Systems Administration experience in cloud-based networks such as Amazon Web Service (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Salesforce

KSA’s and/or Competencies required to successfully perform the work:
Technical and Functional Expertise:
• Experience administering and supporting infrastructure components (servers, applications, network and data storage) in private Cloud/ data center
• Experience in administering infrastructure components in AWS and Azure.
• Experience in managing SaaS applications like Salesforce, Azure DevOps, Github
• Demonstrate experience creating effective documentation (e.g.; detailed requirements, training materials, network diagrams)

Computer Systems and Software:
• Ability to evaluate new and existing technologies for potential use by the organization
• Ability to help prevent security risks and threats including data integrity / protection at all stages
• Ability to develop scripts in yaml, bash, python, shell script
• Ability to automate processes
• Ability to understand Security and network communications

Understanding the Business:
• Knowledge of business / program policy sufficient to support program areas in the development of systems documentation

Results Focus:
• Skilled in technical design, testing and problem resolution while working with business partners
• Structured analysis modeling in support and enhance requirements:
• Ability to identify and validate requirements, organize information into coherent ideas, document requirements and communicate approach.

Customer Service:
• Ability to provide timely support of VDSS technologies to ITS and program teams

Interpersonal Communication:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to managers, end users, peers and technical staff

Leadership:
• Capable of leading or mentoring systems administrators and analysts in support of Cloud Infrastructure Operations

Personal Effectiveness:
• Skilled in leading work efforts, assigning tasks and balancing priorities of assigned workloads

Additional Considerations

• Experience in and knowledge of the Full Life Cycle Development of Information Technology Services
• Experience with design, development, and testing of large automated solutions, specifically in the Health and Human Services field.
• Experience in and knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation
• Cloud Administrator Certifications such as Amazon Web Service (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Salesforce
