We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager-ATF HQ (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives). The incumbent is responsible for the implementation of the goals and objectives of VIB by promoting efficiency of supply store and gift shop operations. Requires supervision, staffing, planning, inventory management, promotion of stores, and operational efficiency of the location. Empowers blind and visually impaired individuals in achieving their maximum level of gainful employment and career development and provide excellent customer service and retail opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge/Experience-
Retail operations and customer service experience.
Skills/Abilities-
Good computer skills including Windows applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Skill in analyzing, problem solving and exercising good judgment in critical decision making.
Ability to interpret and apply AbilityOne, Federal, and State policies and to working in a retail environment to include customer service, merchandising, inventory control, Federal Base Supply Store customer requirements, Point of Sale system operation and acceptable sources for replenishment and work to increase sales at stores while reducing operating expenses. Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and agency personnel. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
Additional Considerations:
Experience working in a military environment and working in a Federal Government environment.

- Employment is contingent upon the selected candidate being able to pass a background check required for access to the ATF for building access.
