Job Duties
Provides leadership, oversight, and supervision to the Psychology Department and Forensic Services. Supervises Psychology Services and Forensic Coordinators (Pretrial and NGRI), including comprehensive psychological assessments and treatment services. Provides consultation, leadership, and training, especially as related to behavioral interventions, in support of both staff and patients. Provides clinical services as needed. Serves on the Hospital Clinical Leadership Team and ensures that Psychology Services are delivered collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Serve as a the facility subject matter expert to ensure the process for all patients admitted, discharged, or transferred from jails/correctional facilities are made in accordance with appropriate policies, procedures, court orders, and legal standards. Collaborates with the judicial system, other facilities, community agencies, and DBHDS Office of Forensic Services regarding patients admitted from jails or other correctional facilities and those that are adjudicated NGRI, as needed. Conducts forensic evaluations, including court-ordered pretrial evaluations and Commissioner-appointed evaluations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
KSA's and/or Competencies required to successfully perform the work (attach Competency Model, if applicable): Extensive knowledge of psychological service delivery, including diagnostic evaluations, treatment, testing, and mental health service administration. Proven ability to write quality assurance reports, supervise professional staff, and provide psychotherapy in both group and individual settings. Strong skills in delegating responsibilities and supervising staff, with effective communication abilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
