We are hiring a Chief Technology Officer who will lead technology strategy and initiatives for the agency. If you have a passion for technology innovation, thrive on creating a seamless customer experience and are an approachable leader, then this role is for you.

In this position, you will:

• Lead the strategy and operations of information technology architecture, security, and application development by fostering a collaborative, mission-focused approach.
• Promote a culture of information security across all lines of business.
• Oversee strategic IT relationships with business leaders, outside vendors, government agencies, and partner organizations.
• Develop customer-focused goals, objectives, performance metrics, and processes that drive modernization, create efficiencies, and deliver positive user experiences.
• Execute technology strategy by fostering team innovation, divisional collaboration, agile methodology, partnership with stakeholders, and effective resource allocation.
• Lead the continuous delivery of IT services through excellence in meeting service level agreements, creating technology enhancements, and maintaining system performance.
• Maintain a mission driven culture that encourages professional growth, creativity, and meaningful opportunities to accomplish goals.
• Ensure quality assurance and data protection of technology assets and customer data.
• Identify opportunities for new IT resources and recommend cost-effective solutions that enhance our mission and customer-focused outlook.
• Oversee the IT disaster recovery plan including system redundancy and restoration.
• Manage Technology incidents to include analysis, mitigation, and communication.

Successful candidates will have:

• Ten years of diversified Information Technology experience, preferably with a combination of information security, software development, desktop support, server, and/or network support, and telecommunications; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Ten years management and coaching experience in a professional environment
• Ten years of experience in a leadership position developing and delivering technology strategy, processes, and resources
• Proven success creating strategic plans, setting goals, meeting milestones, and delivering multiple large-scale projects through effective organization and management
• Excellent communication skills sufficient to explain complex technological problems, handle sensitive and confidential situations, and deliver solutions to diverse audiences
• Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future trends to build strategy in the areas of software development, outsourcing, information security, project management, incident management, and business process improvement
• Demonstrated acumen to partner with business leaders to understand and meet their technology needs
• Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration between staff, peers, vendors, and customers
• Demonstrated proficiency of using Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Work Environment:

• Must be able to occasionally move about the office to retrieve files and documents
• Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment including typing and keying
• May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• May occasionally work on hands and knees to install cables, wires, and computers
• Travel required
