Job Duties

The work leader role requires advanced knowledge of DMV title processing policies, tax regulations, and compliance standards, combined with leadership skills to guide staff and manage complex workflows. The work leader is accountable for accurate processing of complex vehicle and title requests, maintaining compliance with DMV standards, and documenting all actions to support quality control. This role combines operational leadership with complex specialized vehicle title responsibilities, requiring advanced problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume workflows. The Work Leader oversees programs such as title processing, VIN inspection requests, mail intake, complex titling and sales and use tax refund requests, and fiscal reconciliations. The Work Leader must analyze and resolve discrepancies, research legal documents such as wills and trusts, and maintain accuracy in high-volume transactions. Success in this role requires critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor and support staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

· Strong knowledge of DMV titling processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.

· Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex cases and make sound decisions.

· Excellent reading comprehension to interpret legal documents, such as wills, trusts, and court orders, ensuring compliance with regulations.

· Exceptional attention to detail to maintain accuracy in title transactions, financial reconciliations, and regulatory documentation.

· Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and DMV-specific software platforms.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to train staff, address escalated issues, and collaborate across teams.

· Excellent time management skills to organize and prioritize daily job duties and escalations.

Preferred:

· Familiarity with DMV systems, including document management platforms.

· Advanced skills in using spreadsheet and presentation tools for reporting and analysis.
