Job Duties

1. Performance Management
• Provides day-to-day and programmatic supervision; handles performance, hiring and development
• Ensures quality work products, timely deliverables

2. Program Management & Technical Guidance
• Coordinates, implements and promotes activities
• Provides trainings; increases acceptance of programs and develop referrals; oversees submission of forms; processes for travel and purchases; provides support to expand goals; serves as liaison to outside interests; oversees submission of Medicaid billing forms
• Develops project charter(s); work plans; applies project management principles
• Coordinates writing and submission of reports on goals/outcomes
• Quality assures products and reports

3. Administration
• As appropriate, manages aspects of grants; ensures progress; objectives are detailed/reported
• Prepares funding applications for submissions; seeks funding opportunities
• Works with staff to develop/administer budgets
• Meets grant goals; reports to General Assembly regarding remote supervision model; collects accurate data of services and referrals; collects/submits data and tracks forms; supports performance objectives; develops long range plans
• Provides training and workforce development

4. Planning/Development
• May serve as a lead staff support; provides coordination of planning, development, implementation and evaluation
• Engages multi-sector stakeholders and programmatic leads; ensures participation in planning/improvement processes
• Facilitates and documents collaborative process to identify priorities, develop strategies; establishes continual review, quality improvement and accountability

Minimum Qualifications

1) Ability to work independently at various hours in a wide variety of settings including clinical and/or field.
2) Ability to work as part of a team, respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
3) Interpret and apply policies and procedures.
4) Demonstrated experience preparing reports and correspondence.
5) Knowledge of and/or experience in public health practices, investigative techniques, and quality assurance for communicable diseases.
6) Effective oral and written communication, organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.

Additional Considerations

1) Knowledge of/experience with the Vaccines for Children and/or Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers programs.
2) Experience conducting site visits.
3) Experience using PEAR, REDcap, VTrckS and VIIS.

Special Instructions

This position is currently designated as a mobile worker. The role includes both working in the field and teleworking at an alternate location when not in the field or during an emergency closing. You may also be required to periodically come into the central office in downtown Richmond to attend meetings or trainings.
