Job Duties
The Project Review Assistant will assist the DCR Natural Heritage Environmental Review Team in the review of the over 3000 projects submitted annually to DCR for natural heritage resources; interface with staff scientists for detailed conservation information on the possible benefits or concerns of the project; and communicate this information to organizations, agencies, and others. Daily tasks include data entry, report preparation, mapping, and ArcGIS Pro project entry and analysis. Likewise, this position is responsible for updating data license agreements and participating in outreach opportunities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor. This is an office position with a hybrid work schedule of at least 25hrs a week Monday-Friday with an occasional weekend day for outreach.
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro
• Experience with Microsoft Office including data entry into Access
• Experience working independently in a multi-tasking team environment
• Experience in roles requiring attention to detail
Additional Considerations
• Experience with and knowledge of biology/environmental science
