Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Workforce Solutions, the Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the development and delivery of workforce training by designing courses, developing content, promoting courses, recruiting participants, and managing the class arrangements such as room setup and hospitality.

Job Duties

• Coordinate the delivery of training and related activities in identified industry clusters

• Coordinate marketing strategies to build regional awareness for programs and offerings via web, social media, newsletter, and other avenues.

• Coordinate admissions functions for Workforce Solutions including:

o Maintain student records and documentation.

o Lead and implement registration process for classes using the Campus CE platform.

• Build participation in course offerings by responding to course inquiries and researching, collecting, and providing needed information.

• Onboard and liaise with Workforce Solutions Instructors for course administration

• Work with training and human resource leaders in the business community to develop programs and services, providing exceptional customer service.

• Coordinate events, including materials and room setup, hospitality arrangements, and instructor and participant communication.

• Coordinate class and student registration and billing within Workforce Solutions and the College.

• Represent and promote WFS in internal and external professional and community groups and committees at the request of the Director.

• Complete other assignments as directed by supervision. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Two (2) or more years of project management and event coordination experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Community college experience
• Business or industry experience
• Marketing experience
• Experience collaborating with business and industry partners
• Experience with course management platforms
• Conversational ability or fluency in a second language

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Technology Skills: MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
• Knowledge of marketing best practices

Additional Notes
• Travel required within five county service area.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate course scheduling required.
