Provides administrative and clerical support within Enrollment Services on the Dyersburg Campus. This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Director of Enrollment Services and Dual Enrollment Specialist with entry of student data in the Banner student information system and the TSAC Financial Aid System of Tennessee (FAST) for high school dual enrollment and middle college participants.
  • Organize documents pertaining to the admission, registration, and grant aid for dual enrollment and middle college participants and their families. Review for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate (in-person, by phone, or by email) the answers to general questions regarding college services.
  • Assist as needed to provide front line services to visitors to the One Stop on the Dyersburg Campus. Advise students of their admission, registration, financial aid, testing, and payment status utilizing the One Stop Argos dashboard and Banner Student Information System, and refer students to appropriate services.  Provide accurate information and pertinent forms relating to admissions, records, financial aid, and student financial services.
  • Assist with college events and programs including, but not limited to college tours, calling campaigns, recruitment events, orientation programs, and student life events.
  • Assist the Director of Enrollment Services with maintaining recruitment materials, sending prospect information packets, and mass mailing.
  • Serve as a test administrator to back-up the Lead Testing Technician. Administer tests offered by the Testing Center. Ensuring proper test security in advance of, during, and following testing sessions. Complete testing forms, read directions clearly to test takers, assist test takers with testing equipment during testing and/or logging in to the correct test and engage in active proctoring behavior during test sessions.
  • Assist the Lead Testing Technician in screening student records for testing needs as needed. When appropriate, enter test scores in the Banner Student Information System. Print and distribute individual score reports to test takers after testing ensuring the confidentiality of student records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:             

Sedentary: Deskwork; occasional travel may be required for college or program activities. Normal range of movement required. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, students, and community members.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:                        

  • High school or high school equivalency diploma.
  • Minimum of one year of clerical office experience with working knowledge of computer applications and computerized records systems.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work well with persons from various social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in office administration, business, management or related field
  • Experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience navigating in production Banner Student Information System and MS Office.

Minimum starting pay is $28,400 annually ($14.57 per hour). With additional experience pay increases to a maximum of $34,100.
