Title: Student Engagement and Leadership Assistant (Temporary Part-Time

Pay Rate: $18.60/Hr
Position Summary: This position will help support the college’s mission through adding value to the educational experience to the college and instilling a sense of belonging to students. The primary duties of the assistant will be to assist Director of Student Engagement and Leadership with event planning, promotion, implementation and execution. There may be a need, on occasion, to travel to other campus locations for events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist Student Engagement and Leadership activities, or other student programming and services as needed.
· Assist administrative professional with supervision of student engagement and leadership office, and student workers to carry out daily operations, and events being held.
· Assist the Director of Student Engagement and Leadership and Administrative Assistant as needed with events, daily office duties, social media, and clubs/organizations.

Required Qualifications:
• Associates’ degree required, Bachelor's and /or higher education experience preferred.
• Two years of work experience in related areas such as Student Programming, Resident Assisting, Supervisory Experience, Teaching Experience or other areas of student support or education.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Flexibility to work some evening and weekend hours
(Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience)

• Ability to complete assigned tasks as directed in a consistent manner with effective decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and interdependently as a member of a staff/team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Experience with student leadership and coaching or mentor of students/student leaders.
• Passionate about serving students and connecting them to resources.
