Job Summary
Financial Aid Coordinator
Supervise, evaluate, and train financial aid staff
Coordinate financial aid programs including PELL, TN Promise, TN Reconnect, TELS, etc.
Inspect student aid files to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
Review verification process and resolution of conflicting information
Process Return of Title IV & Reconciliation of financial aid accounts
Monitor and evaluate student progress to determine continued financial aid eligibility
Compile and complete financial aid reports in a timely manner
Maintain compliance in all aspects of federal and state regulations
Attend federal and state workshops and conferences
Assign tasks to financial aid staff
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in accounting, business, or finance
Four (4) years of administrative responsibility including supervision of staff
Knowledge of Department of Education federal/state financial aid rules and regulations
Knowledge of financial aid programs including PELL, TSAA, SEOG, TN Lottery Scholarship
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
Evidence of ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in computerized accounting systems and software programs
Experience working in a higher education environment a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in accounting, business, or finance
