This position plays a key role in ensuring decisions are data-driven with demonstrated evidence-based improvement, which is central to Southwest's commitment to student success and core values. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Academic Innovation and Faculty Support, the Director will collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to develop assessment strategies, oversee program data analysis to ensure program coherence and sequencing, and utilize assessments that yield valid results supporting continuous improvement.
While providing oversight of programmatic assessment activities, the Director of Academic Assessment will work closely with the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness to support Quality Assurance Funding submissions, coordinate Academic Audits, and support accreditation (programmatic and national) as it pertains to assessment activities. |
