This position provides an opportunity to teach in a live industry work setting, including access to industrial equipment and firsthand insight into industry needs.
The Volkswagen Academy campus provides a unique work environment that prepares students for a manufacturing career by developing both technical and professional skills. Our instructors lead by example in terms of expertise, professionalism, and a passion for learning.
This position provides course and lab instruction in the area of Basic Automotive Fundamentals, Electric Vehicle Fundamentals, and Electric Vehicle Maintenance. Understanding of Electric Vehicles and intrinsic motivation to stay up to date with technology developments a must. Systems integration of Industry 4.0 a plus. Course and curriculum development, evaluation of students, maintenance of attendance and grade records, and maintenance of 5S practices in all work, instructional and lab areas. Independent learning skills and the ability to manage a classroom are necessary.

Ensure campus compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies’ guidelines, along with internal policies of the College.
Knowledge, Skills and Work Characteristics

Utilize routine office software such as MS Office Suite, email, internet, and virtual meeting platforms.

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technology field, or an Associate’s degree in a engineering or technology field with certifications, or an Associate’s degree in a technology field and 2 years applicable work experience or ASE certifications and experience or by exception.
Projected Salary Range:
Instructor: $53,868 - $65,981
Assistant Professor: $59,903 - $74,879
