GENERAL DUTIES: The Academic & Student Support Associate reports to the Job Training and Safety (JT &S) Coordinator. The Academic & Student Support Associate is responsible for answering multi-line phone system, answering the public’s questions concerning JT&S programs and activities, preparing documents for JT &S program, registering JT &S students for classes, and maintaining training records.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical diploma or associate's degree in a related field.
- 2+ years approved administrative work experience.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable with collaborative work and receiving feedback.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and have a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong customer service, excellent organizational and planning skills.
KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES SKILLS
- Accounting
- Typing and I0-Key operation
- Multi-line telephone answering system
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of information Management Systems or ability to master such systems
- Internet research capabilities
- Business standards for office documentation
GENERAL INFORMATION: Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Selected candidates will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT Murfreesboro to complete a background check.
SALARY: Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
