Job Summary:
The primary objective of this position is to promote, develop and manage the operation of the Springfield Center of Volunteer State Community College and the regional relationships in Robertson, Sumner, Trousdale, and Wilson Counties consistent with institutional goals and objectives.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with the President, Vice Presidents, and other members of the Leadership Team regarding strategic direction and planning for the Springfield Center and the region. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Springfield Center. Develops community partnerships and represents the College in the community, promoting the development of Volunteer State Community College in Robertson Sumner, Trousdale, and Wilson counties and promoting the awareness of the offerings at the Springfield Center. Collaborates with the academic divisions to develop and coordinate the schedule of classes at the Springfield Center and at dual enrollment sites in the region. Collaborates with Economic Development and Strategies, Marketing, Communications, and Media Services, and Student Services in the development of marketing strategies for the recruitment of students, both credit and non-credit, to the programs of the Center. Collaborates with Economic Development and Strategies in developing non-credit/business and industry/workforce development programs at the Center and at other locations in the area. Supervises the management of the physical facilities and equipment at the Springfield Center and coordinates with Plant Operations as needed to ensure the proper maintenance and appearance of the facilities. Maintains a working knowledge of internal and external policies, guidelines, and procedures specific to the operation of a Center. Assists in the formulation of reports, analyses, studies, objectives, and strategies on enrollment, major trends, patterns, projections, etc. related to the region. Participates in the ongoing activities and training and other activities of the College, as required. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Four years supervisory experience in a higher education setting in the area of administration, teaching or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Education or closely related field.
Knowledge of Banner.
Experience in higher education developing and coordinating various community, industry and educational partnerships.

Must have strong leadership, human relations, and communications skills, including effective public speaking skills.
Self-motivating initiative, diplomacy, mature nature, flexibility in dealing with multiple tasks.
Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office products, ERP solutions, and other related software.
Excellent organization skills along with being detailed oriented.

Ability to understand and use data in decision-making.
Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality; exceptional customer services skills; and possess the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, excellent management and team building skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of community college practices and procedures.
Pay Rate: $68,434 - $85,542 annual salary depending on experience
