Title: Head Golf Coach (Temporary Part-Time)

Work Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Position Summary: Implement and lead a competitive golf team to compete in TCCAA/NJCAA Division 2
Duties and Responsibilities:
60% Golf Program Management
• Serve as men’s head golf coach including recruiting, organization of practice, match scheduling, management of operating budget, and fundraising.
• Supervise the assistant golf coach or coaches.
• Responsible for care and maintenance of golf equipment used by the program.
• Tracks records, and statistics for both team and individuals.
• Work closely with the athletic director to schedule personal and team travel.
• Present for all practices, matches, and tournaments.
25% Student Athlete & Academic Management
• Monitor golf student-athlete progress including class attendance, academic performance, personal adjustment and financial aid management
• to Coordinate and monitor student study, athletic tutoring and classroom performance.
• Work with student athletes aid placement at the University level
10% Student Athlete Conduct
• Responsible for student conduct on the field of play
• Accountable for making sure all student athletes are following the latest sport rules and guidelines with a focus on sportsmanship
5% Community Involvement
• Involved in the local golf community.
• Promotes the Pellissippi golf program in a positive manner in the local community.

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent
Years of Experience:
- Prefer at least two years of golf coaching at the college level
- Experience recruiting student-athletes preferred
