POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as a key liaison between the college and partner high schools, working closely with school administrators, students, and parents to support Dual Enrollment, Dual Credit and Early College initiatives. This position will also support post-secondary student transition to Nashville State Community College.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and communicate clear academic pathways from High School into Nashville State Community College academic programs that lead to credential and degree completion. Support increasing early postsecondary opportunities from early high school grades to Nashville State. Create and implement success plans with students and high school counselors from early high school grades to Nashville State that support student success and help students bridge the gap between the completion of high school and beginning a postsecondary degree or credential at Nashville State Community College.
Serve as the liaison between New Skills Ready high schools and Nashville State, developing strong relationships with the high schools. Plan and coordinate events, activities and meetings with MNPS faculty and administration, students, parents and Nashville State. Assist students, parents and MNPS high school advisors, principals and staff with the admissions process, including the dual enrollment grant and the Middle College Scholarship. Facilitate good working relationships with high school faculty and administration and Nashville State faculty and staff. Serve on Nashville State and community-based organizations and committees that are relevant to Early Post-Secondary Opportunities for K12 students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Two (2) years’ experience in high school or post-secondary education with a focus on student services.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with high school and post-secondary personnel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited institution
Experience providing educational programs and career development services to students
Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic or Spanish
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a varied community. Ability to analyze student data and make data informed decisions. Strong initiative and ability to work effectively in groups and independently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and execute multiple projects and priorities. Demonstrated leadership ability.

Rate of Pay: $44,148.00 to $55,186.00 annually, depending on experience
