Job Summary

• Assist current and prospective students with the financial aid application process.
• Review student applications to determine financial need and award aid according to federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
• Perform verification of FAFSA data and conflicting data resolution.
• Notify students of eligibility of aid and of award changes.
• Oversee and manage dual enrollment program funds for all students from participating high schools.
• Reconcile dual enrollment account on a routine basis, as well as other financial aid accounts as needed.
• Conduct orientations and workshops for prospective and current students.
• Maintain accurate records and complete financial aid reports in a timely manner.
• Attend, as requested, state and federal financial aid conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma, or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; two (2) years of financial aid experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of the principles, philosophy, and methods of technical education and individualized instruction.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, a pleasant demeanor, and professionalism with coworkers, students, and the public.
• Display high effort, dedication, and commitment toward work; operate utilizing the efficient and organizational structure while demonstrating trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and the ability to learn and use other software.
• Experience working with Banner, FAST, and COD is a plus.
