POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Health Science/Clinical/Practical Nurse Instructor (Adjunct Position)

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Upper Cumberland is accepting applications for an adjunct position to teach Health Science/Practical Nursing/Clinicals at various locations in the service center area.  Must be available to teach day or night classes. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must hold a current unencumbered RN License in the State of Tennessee.
• Associate Degree in nursing required.  BSN Preferred.
• Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• One to two years of experience in long-term care preferred
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Computer and Clinical skills required.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have good organizational and planning skills.
• Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, faculty, staff, general public, and business and industry.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Teach all aspects of the Health Science/Practical Nursing curriculum under the direction of the Director of Nursing
• Provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment
• Assisting in planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for Health Science/Practical Nursing Students in both classroom and clinical settings
• Provide individual evaluation of student progress with counseling and appropriate recommendation when required
• Maintain confidential, accurate, and complete student records
• Maintain good public relations with clinical partners
• Promote the College and the Practical Nursing program in the community
