Pay Rate: $16.49 per hour
*If you are a PSCC Student and eligible for the Student Employment Program, you will be paid on experience and the rates are $14.00 (no experience), $15.00 (6 months experience) and $16.00 (9 months experience)*.

Work Hours: work up to 30 hours per week

Position Summary: This person is responsible for answering the advising center phone, checking-in students to see advisors, making appointments, troubleshoot student appointments, assist the director with general office tasks; answers student questions and direct students to the appropriate offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

50% Provide support to the advising office and serve as the first contact for the Advising Center and adjacent offices at Hardin Valley including answering questions and routing students to the appropriate offices, checking in appointments, reviewing student profiles, managing a multiline phone;

35% Provide support for appointment scheduling in Navigate for the advising office.

15% Assist the director with various office tasks including but not limited to maintaining the reception area and the advising center; creating documents, scheduling tasks, and keeping the Advising Center calendar.

Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Associates degree
• Previous experience in customer service, office assistance or receptionist.
• Three years of related experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to use Microsoft Word products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Ability to manage multiple office equipment such as printers, copiers, multiline phone and customer relationship management tools; previous experience with Student Information systems and scheduling software.
