The Student Success Systems Administrator oversees the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Dyersburg State Community College’s CRM and student success platforms. This role ensures these systems support recruitment, admissions, retention, and overall student success strategies. Key responsibilities include system administration, data integrity, communication workflow development, user training, and continuous enhancement of tools including Slate™ and Axiom™. The position collaborates with departments across the college to improve processes, expand system functionality, and advance student onboarding and enrollment management initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Administer and support the college’s CRM and student success software platforms, including user setup, roles, permissions, and customization of fields, objects, workflows, and layouts.
  • Stay current on new features and tools; recommend and implement enhancements to support enrollment and student success strategies.
  • Work with data systems such as Ellucian Banner to import, transition, and maintain accurate student records across the recruitment and admissions lifecycle.
  • Manage security roles, workflows, rules, reports, and dashboards.
  • Develop, test, and deploy targeted communication campaigns, including email, text, and print communications.
  • Create, manage, and refine custom reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop HTML/CSS content for communication and system needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards and streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to technical systems and office operations.
  • Collaborate with enrollment management and college offices to support admissions, enrollment, and student success initiatives through effective use of the college’s CRM platform.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated CRM issues; troubleshoot problems related to records, events, forms, and workflows.
  • Provide end‑user training, documentation, and ongoing support for users with varying technical skill levels.
  • Monitor and resolve daily errors and notifications between the CRM platform and other student success platforms and the Banner student information system.
  • Manage and prioritize internal issue tickets to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Customize and build features such as applications, communication tools, fields, prompts, queries, rules, datasets, and event templates in the CRM and other student success platforms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Sedentary: Primarily desk‑based work. Occasional travel for college activities. Minimal exposure to hazards; standard office environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with computer databases and information systems.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and SQL.
  • Experience working directly with CRM systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices in digital communications within higher education.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with logic, technical design, and workflow development.
  • Ability to work independently.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in a related field (Business Information Systems or Computer Science preferred) a regionally accredited institution.
  • Two years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience with Slate™, Axiom™, and Ellucian Banner™ products.
  • Experience in a higher education setting.
  • Project management certification or experience managing large projects.

Minimum salary: $48,407 Annually ($24.82 per hour) With additional experience pay increases to a maximum salary of $60,564 annually.
