Completion of at least one semester of college or dual-enrolled at Northeast State or other institution.
A minimum GPA of 3.0.
A grade of “A” or “B” in each course to be tutored.
Recommendations from at least two instructors.
Advanced Tutors:
Completion of Associate degree or higher at an accredited institution with a final GPA of at least 3.0 and grade of “A” or “B” in subjects to be tutored if applicable; OR acceptance as adjunct faculty at Northeast State or prior tutoring experience for Student Support Services with all documentation on file. |

Assistant Director, Pellissippi Academic Center for Excellence (PACE)

| The overall purpose of the Assistant Director, PACE is to support faculty in improving teaching and learning across various delivery modes. The assistant director works in collaboration with Distance Education staff, HIPs Liaison, and HIPs champions/faculty to develop and deliver relevant online and HIPs training. They also work directly with faculty or staff who wish to facilitate PACE trainings, ensuring learning outcomes, content, and engagement. Overall, the Assistant Director aims to integrate instructional design principles and technology to support faculty, staff, and improved student learning. |

| The Next Steps Advisor is a staff position designed to provide holistic advising and support services targeting adult learners to ensure student retention and success. Additionally, students are assisted with navigating next steps after their certificate or degree completion at Jackson State Community College should they wish to transfer to a four-year institution. The Next Steps Advisor will report to the Director of Advising and collaborate with other advisors, administrative staff, and faculty to oversee the college’s effectiveness in meeting the needs of students. |
