This position represents the College for the purposes of critical, high-end workforce instruction, outreach, promoting student enrollment, student retention and management of workforce programs. This position will be primarily responsible for industry-based training programs and the management of the students and prospective students within those respective areas. SSS Academic Coordinator Dyersburg
The SSS Academic Coordinator is responsible to the TRIO Director. The primary purpose is to recruit, counsel, arrange academic and other support services for eligible DSCC students who are first generation college and/or low-income students in order for them to successfully complete their degree. Student Support Services is part of the federal TRIO programs through the Department of Education. The program is designed to help first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities progress through college to earn a degree. The services provided include but are not limited: advising, tutoring, advice and assistance in course selection, provide information on financial aid, financial literacy education, and assist students in transferring to a four-year institution.

This is a grant-funded position. The Computer Information Technology Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction, in conjunction with an additional full-time instructor, to adult and high school students to prepare them for employment in the field. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting, system architecture and protocols, software applications, programming, hardware assembly and repair, backup strategies, networking and configuring computers and related peripheral devices. This position is full-time. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Scheduled class hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Instruction is delivered in-person.
