The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Athens is accepting applications for the part-time position of Facilities Support Associate – Custodian. Under the general supervision of the Vice President, this position performs the daily cleaning of common areas per the institution’s cleaning and maintenance policy. This 20-hour per week position is responsible for the custodial duties at the Athens campus which supports our mission of fostering a positive and professional learning environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Daily cleaning of the Athens campus common areas including bottle filling stations, windows, floors, restrooms, administrative offices, lobbies, breakrooms, and outside walks and door mats. • Duties include emptying waste cans, picking up litter in the yard and parking lot, and replenishing hand towels, toilet tissues, and soap in restrooms. • Perform safety and security checks. • Perform opening and closing of facilities, as needed. • Support student success. • Check motorized equipment before using and contact Facilities Support Associate Lead for needed maintenance and repair

Part-time/Substitute Instructors are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction within their area of expertise for programs offered at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville. Instruction may be assigned at the Main Campus in Shelbyville, at one of our extension campuses in Winchester or Fayetteville, or at any designated teaching location. This posting does not guarantee an open position. Applications for adjunct faculty roles are accepted on a continuous basis and are reviewed by the department as openings arise. The instructor will guide students through rigorous, hands-on learning and classroom instruction designed to meet the entry-level needs of EV manufacturers and provide stackable, industry-recognized credentials such as the MSSC Certified Production Technician, IC3 Digital Literacy, FANUC Robot Operator, and Six Sigma White Belt. Minimum Qualifications: • Postsecondary credential in a related field. • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in electric vehicle manufacturing, automotive production, industrial automation, or a closely related field. • Strong understanding of EV systems, manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control practices. • Proficiency with tools and technologies used in modern EV production environments, including robotics and mechatronics. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Must be willing to complete the required training in instructional methods. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior teaching or training experience in technical education. • Possession of relevant industry certifications (e.g., MSSC CPT, IC3 Digital Literacy, FANUC Certified Robot Operator, Six Sigma White Belt). • Familiarity with the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) and NC3 credentialing systems. • Experience in curriculum development and student mentoring.
