About the Position:

Reporting to the Development Events and Operations Manager, the Development Assistant plays a key role in supporting the operations of the CVPA Development Office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position is responsible for processing and acknowledging gifts, generating giving reports, and assisting with donor stewardship and office administration. The individual will become proficient in using Salesforce CRM and MicroStrategy reporting systems. Additionally, the role supports the coordination and staffing of events, often held on evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and committed to providing excellent administrative support

Responsibilities:

  • Support the operations of the CVPA Development Office. General support duties include, but are not limited to, processing and acknowledging gifts, and generating weekly and quarterly giving reports;
  • Become proficient in the use of Salesforce CRM and MicroStrategy reporting systems. Perform data entry, generate lists and reports;
  • Assist with office administration, meetings, programs, solicitations, and donor stewardship as assigned; and
  • Assist in staffing the Great Performances donor refreshment area and other CVPA development events, programs and activities, many of which occur on weekend evenings; take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Office experience (1+ years);
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, professional environment;
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office suite and cloud storage services to facilitate sharing of files and documents;
  • High level of organization and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with colleagues and volunteers;
  • Ability to work both as a team member and independently on assigned tasks;
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for several hours; and
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Arts background or knowledge;
  • Previous Salesforce experience;
  • Previous MicroStrategy experience; and
  • Demonstrated experience working with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
