Position Summary

The School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development is currently building a pool of qualified part-time faculty to support our academic programs. Candidates will be contacted as needed, each semester, based on student enrollment numbers and program requirements.

The English Language Learning program is seeking part-time instructors to teach the following credit ESOL classes:
- ELL-119: Capstone Grammar and Editing
- ELL-120: Capstone Reading and Writing

These courses are designed to prepare English language learners to be successful in a credit program. In-person and online opportunities may be available, depending on enrollment trends and department needs.

Responsibilities:
*Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines;
*Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics;
* Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member;
* Teach all scheduled classes;
* Maintain accurate records;
* Participate in departmental professional development training as required.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As a part-time faculty employee you are entitled to these benefits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
* teaching assigned class(es) in accordance with department and college requirements and expectations;
* assessing student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment;
* meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested;
* participating in departmental professional development training as directed by Instructional Coordinator.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in TEFOL, English, Education or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree preferred.
