Job Summary/Basic Function:

These positions will oversee public programming in the Great Lakes Discovery Center, guide K-12 school field trips and assist with outreach events to build freshwater stewardship in the region. Period of employment: part time, late August 2024 through May 2025. Responsibilities: assist CFRE staff with operating the Great Lakes Discovery Center, support school programs, teacher trainings in Great Lakes science, and assist with outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications:

weekend work required, excellent communication skills, ability to balance several projects at once, understanding of lesson/activity planning, and passion and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Federal Work Study students preferred

Physical Demands:

Standing for long periods of time.
