3. Deliver engaging presentations, demonstrations, and workshops that inspire interest in engineering, highlighting academic pathways available through LSSU.
4. Develop social media, website, and printed promotional and educational materials in partnership with University Marketing to support engineering recruitment, outreach, and awareness.
5. Lead grant development and reporting efforts to sustain and expand outreach initiatives.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with K-12 educators, Career and Technical Education (CTE) coordinators, guidance counselors, and community partners to enhance pipeline development into engineering programs.
7. Assist with on-campus events such as engineering expos, robotics competitions, and youth science programs, representing the School and University professionally.
8. Assist in tracking and reporting student participation, success, feedback and program outcomes for these services.

Operators will capture live game action, replays, crowd shots, and promotional content under the direction of the athletic communications and video production team. This is a hands-on opportunity for students interested in sports media, broadcasting, film production, or digital content creation. Key Responsibilities: Operate broadcast-quality cameras to capture live footage of Laker Hockey home games at Taffy Abel Arena. Follow game play closely, including puck tracking, player movement, and key moments such as goals, hits, and celebrations. Record crowd reactions, on-ice promotions, and in-game presentations when assigned. Work closely with the video production crew, director, and broadcast team to ensure seamless coverage. Assist with setup, breakdown, and basic maintenance of camera equipment. Ensure stable, high-quality, and creative shots that enhance the viewer experience. | Lake Superior State University Athletics is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and professional individuals to serve as Off-Ice Officials and Replay Officials for NCAA Division I men’s hockey home games. Off-Ice Officials play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of game operations through scorekeeping, statistics, timing, and video replay duties in accordance with NCAA and CCHA (Central Collegiate Hockey Association) standards.
This position requires a high level of focus, impartiality, and professionalism, as well as the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, live game environment.
General Off-Ice Official Duties
Official Scorekeeper: Maintain the official game scoresheet, including goals, assists, penalties, and shots on goal.
Timekeeper: Operate the official game clock and ensure accurate timing of periods, penalties, and intermissions.
Statisticians: Track and input real-time game statistics including shots, faceoffs, blocked shots, hits, etc., using NCAA LiveStats or similar software.
Replay Official Duties:
Operate and manage the NCAA-mandated video replay system for goal reviews, offside calls, and other reviewable events.
Communicate directly with on-ice referees to provide clear and timely video evidence during stoppages.
Maintain accurate records of all reviewed plays, including timestamps and outcomes, for postgame reporting.
Ensure all replay equipment is functioning and compliant with NCAA and CCHA requirements before and during games.
Coordinate with broadcast production team to retrieve necessary angles for conclusive review.
