Title: Scorekeeper - ACHA MD2, WD1 & WD2

Job Summary/Basic Function:

Scorekeeper for all ACHA D2 men's and ACHA DI women's hockey games played at Lake Superior State University. Some exceptions may apply to off campus games played at the Big Bear Arena or Pullar Stadium. Position requires availability most weekends throughout the hockey season.

Minimum Qualifications:

The Scorekeeper will be responsible for operating the game clock during both pre-game and in-game activities.

The Scorekeeper must arrive 45 minutes prior to the posted game time to set up the clock for pre-game operations.

The Scorekeeper will be required to communicate effectively with the game-day referees.

The Scorekeeper will be required to accurately complete the official ACHA game sheet as directed by the ACHA coaches.

The Scorekeeper must be able to operate the in-house audio system to provide game announcements.

Announcements will include, but are not limited to:

• Penalties
• Goals
• Pre-game announcements
• In-game announcements
• Sponsor acknowledgements

Preferred Qualifications:

Scorekeeper must have previous experience in working high level hockey games.

The ability to communicate effectively with coaches and referees.

The ability to comfortably and effectively communicate via a public address system regularly during an ACHA game.

Physical Demands:

Scorekeeper must be able to comfortably sit for long periods of time.

Ability to quickly move about the scorekeeper box to open and close the penalty box doors when needed.

Work Hours: 

Weekends; 27+ Potential Games
