Job Summary/Basic Function:

Join the School of Engineering and Technology as a Student Ambassador and help share our passion, innovation, and community with future Lakers! SET is seeking enthusiastic Student Ambassadors to build relationships and create meaningful connections with prospective students, their families and surrounding communities, inspiring them to choose Lake Superior State University (LSSU) for their higher education. Gains hands-on experience in public speaking, event planning, digital communication, and team leadership while sharing your passion for engineering. Responsibilities include showcasing LSSU educational and future opportunities for prospective students, first years and transfer students, answering questions, providing virtual and in-person tours, conducting hands-on activities, and encouraging students to visit campus. Student Ambassadors communicate with prospective SET students via email, text, phone, social media, etc. Additional responsibilities include planning, marketing, and hosing LSSU SET student events to include one fall event, one winter event and the Spring Banquet.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled as a full-time LSSU student in good standing; strong verbal and written communication skills; Flexible schedule to support various events and activities that may include weekends and regional travel.
