| To perform daily routine cleaning operations and project cleaning in assigned areas of responsibility. To provide the necessary operational requirements for the set-up and take-down of equipment and fixtures for conferences, athletic events and other special events. To perform building inspections and do routine minor repairs to the building, equipment, fixtures, and furniture. To perform daily recycling pick up. Report all needed corrective maintenance to the Physical Plan office.
To inform the Physical Plant Directors and Managers on the immediate condition of all assigned areas and make good practice of the following:
1. Performing all duties as assigned by the Physical Plant Director and Supervisors.
2. Maintaining good relations with the public and staff.
3. Being trustworthy and practicing confidentiality.
4. Keeping ones appearance neat and well groomed. |

2025-2026 Game Day Camera Operations

| Lake Superior State University Athletics is seeking reliable individuals to serve as Camera Operators for Laker Hockey home games. This role is critical to the success of LSSU’s in-venue video board, livestream broadcasts, and post-game content. Operators will capture live game action, replays, crowd shots, and promotional content under the direction of the athletic communications and video production team. This is a hands-on opportunity for students interested in sports media, broadcasting, film production, or digital content creation. Key Responsibilities: Operate broadcast-quality cameras to capture live footage of Laker Hockey home games at Taffy Abel Arena. Follow game play closely, including puck tracking, player movement, and key moments such as goals, hits, and celebrations. Record crowd reactions, on-ice promotions, and in-game presentations when assigned. Work closely with the video production crew, director, and broadcast team to ensure seamless coverage. Assist with setup, breakdown, and basic maintenance of camera equipment. Ensure stable, high-quality, and creative shots that enhance the viewer experience. Be alert and responsive throughout the event, adapting to the pace and energy of live hockey. Assist with other sports as needed. |
