Position Summary
The Martha & Spencer Love School of Business at Elon University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in the Management & Entrepreneurship Department, beginning mid-August, 2025.
The successful candidate will bring an interdisciplinary perspective, enriched by rich practical experience, to the study and teaching of business principles. They should hold a Master’s degree and have experience teaching undergraduate business courses using high-impact, experiential practices. Ideally, the candidate will have served in leadership roles within corporations or have managed large workforces. Responsibilities include teaching business, management, and organizational behavior courses as well as supporting the Elon Core Curriculum. Additional responsibilities include student mentorship through advising and contributions to the life of the department, university, and discipline or profession.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
- Master’s degree
- 2+ semesters of experience teaching undergraduate business courses
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate managerial role
Preferred Education and Experiences
- Experience as a senior organizational leader managing a large, geographically distributed workforce
- Experience teaching a wide array of undergraduate business courses (e.g., introductory business, organizational behavior, human resource management, strategic management) at different levels (e.g., 1000-level, 4000-level)
- Experience with high-impact, experiential teaching practices (e.g., simulations, community-based learning)
