Salary/Position Classification

  • $17.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 5-20 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

The Box Office attendant will sell tickets to various events during regular business hours and event hours.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greets customers. 
  • Accepts money in the form of cash, and credit or debit cards for tickets purchased. 
  • Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts. 
  • Process returns and exchanges according to company policy. 
  • Assists customers in resolving complaints or providing information. 
  • Answering the phone. 
  • Selling tickets using computer software 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

Required Competencies

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate available technology, such as TicketMaster, Microsoft Office and email.
  • Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.
  • Knowledgeable about company’s products and services, and customer-related policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays as requested.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and e-mail required.
