Salary/Position Classification

  • $14.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 15 hours per week

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one or in groups with current UND students and alumni to assist with career-related development 
  • Support full-time staff members as needed (i.e., providing coverage at campus-wide events, engage in outreach activities, present at campus organization meetings, provide drop-in virtual support, etc.)
  • Provide support in alternate locations across campus, such as the Library Knowledge Commons or academic colleges as needed 
  • Ensure a welcoming and supportive experience for students utilizing the Career Closet, respecting diverse backgrounds and preferences and track and document chosen items 
  • Support the mission and vision of Career Services and the Student Academic Success & Career Engagement unit 
  • Support the mission and vision of the University of North Dakota · Utilize Microsoft Office, including TEAMS, for effective communication and collaboration with team members 
  • Manage, track, and document student appointments through Hawk Central 
  • Provide reception coverage when necessary 
  • Complete additional tasks as requested by the Experiential Learning staff or other staff members of Student Academic Success & Career Engagement - (Essential)

Minimum Requirements

  • Technology proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS)
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
