Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

The Pancratz Career Development Center works with students in the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration to help them build their professional skills and reach their career goals. Pancratz Peers help students with resumes, cover letters, career fair prep, Handshake, job and internship searching, and other aspects of career development.
Hours will be between 8 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday; 10 – 15 hours/week.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help students build their resumes and other professional materials 
  • Coach students preparing for interviews and other employer interactions 
  • Help students search for internships and jobs 
  • Provide assistance with Handshake and LinkedIn 
  • Share information on services offered, upcoming events, etc. 
  • Assist with maintaining the Freeman Professional Closet 
  • Attend and assist staff during various career events including career fairs 
  • Collaborate with staff on projects and initiatives for the Pancratz Center and the NCoBPA 
  • Present to student organizations and classes occasionally 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled student in the UND Nistler College
  • Self-motivated and dependable; able to follow through on tasks with little supervision
  •  Must able to work within the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work with career events including resume writing
  • Knowledge of LinkedIn
  • Ability to present to larger groups
