Purpose of Position
Are you creative, social media-savvy, and passionate about the arts? The Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center is looking for a student to help promote our exciting lineup of shows and events! As our Social Media Assistant, you’ll be responsible for creating engaging content, growing our online presence, and helping us spread the word about what’s happening at The Fritz this season.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote upcoming shows, events, and behind-the-scenes moments Use graphics, video clips, photos, and creative captions to attract and engage followers
- Tailor content to highlight a variety of events—from Broadway tours and concerts to community recitals and campus functions
- Stay updated on all upcoming events and programming
- Offer ideas to boost visibility and reach new audiences, especially those less involved in the local arts scene
- Track engagement and brainstorm ways to grow our following and audience interest
- Respond to comments and messages
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a UND student
- Basic understanding of Facebook and Instagram
- Ability to write clearly and professionally
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written communication skills, including grammar and spelling
- Creativity in developing engaging social content
- Ability to adapt content to suit different audiences and platforms
- Basic familiarity with social media scheduling and planning
