Salary/Position Classification

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. Only UND Undergrad students are eligible to be hired into this position. Unsolicited applications to this position will NOT be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Updating and maintaining existing software projects.
  • Implementing new software functionality according to specifications.
  • Testing and troubleshooting software functionality and documenting software updates.  

Minimum Requirements

  • Majoring or minoring in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Systems.
  • Programming experience in any language
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester and Accepted Federal Work Study award.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with client-side web development such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
  • Experience with .NET technology (VB/C#)
  • Experience in database development including designing and creating database tables, functions, and stored procedures. (MS SQL Server preferred)
  • Experience with version control such as Git
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience working as part of a team
