| Research opportunity to work with Dr. Vasyl Tkach (https://sites.und.edu/vasyl-tkach/) on parasites (all specimens are fixed, non-hazardous), including molecular screening for pathogens carried by mosquitos and mosquito host associations. The work will include a variety of basic molecular techniques as well as microscopy. Training will be provided; motivation is the key. Preference will be given to current sophomores and juniors. Depending on performance and funding, students will have the opportunity to participate in a 10-week undergraduate research program to be held Summer 2026 and continue work in the lab into the fall of 2026. |
