Oklahoma City University (OCU) invites applications for two Assistant Professor - On-Camera Acting positions, encompassing one non-tenure track and one tenure track opportunity. The Assistant Professor-On-Camera Acting will join the performance faculty in the School of Theatre at Oklahoma City University. This position functions as part of the professional artistic community focused on teaching lower and upper division classes in Acting for the Camera, as well as occasional Special Topics seminars.
Along with their ability to teach the required acting courses, the ideal candidate would also be a member of one of the pertinent professional unions (AEA, SAG/AFTRA, SDC) and have additional acting instruction skills to teach Commercial acting and voiceovers, as well as other special topics areas related to on-camera acting.

The School of Theatre offers an active production-based BFA program and is a part of the Margaret E. Petree College of Performing Arts which includes the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment and the Wanda L. Bass School of Music.
We offer a BFA in Acting (two tracks: Stage and Screen and On-Camera), a BFA in Design and Production, a BA in Theatre Innovation and Entrepreneurship and an MFA in Screen Acting (taught in LA and London) in a program that is gaining a national reputation and currently has a steady population of nearly 200 majors. TheatreOCU is the School of Theatre’s producing arm, mounting four main stage, and seven to nine laboratory productions each season. The school has partnerships with several local professional performing arts companies: Oklahoma Children’s Theatre, Lyric Theatre and Oklahoma Ballet.
