Position Summary

Kramer School of Nursing invites applications for two 12-month, non-tenure track BSN clinical assistant professor of nursing beginning July, 2024.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Oklahoma RN license required. 
  • Master of Science in Nursing is required.   
  • At least two (2) years of nursing practice experience required. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical surgical and/or critical care experience preferred. 
  • Terminal degree preferred.

Job Duties

Teaching, Scholarship and Service

  • Prepare and conduct courses in conformity with objectives of the university, Kramer School of Nursing, and approving accrediting agencies. 
  • Evaluate student learning, skills, and abilities; and maintain records of such evaluations. 
  • Engage in scholarship that supports Kramer School of Nursing’s mission. 
  • Serve as a resource person in areas of expertise and to other faculty and personnel of the community. 
  • Act as advisor to nursing students for the promotion of excellence in academic and clinical practice. 
  • Serve the university and the Kramer School of Nursing, including committee work as appropriate. 
  • Adhere to all policies within the Oklahoma City University Faculty Handbook and the KSN Employee Handbook. 
  • Participate in university activities and professional organizations as a member. 
  • Participate in the school’s assessment program, and in student recruiting and retention efforts for the school and the university. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
