Position Summary

The Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University invites applications for a clinical faculty position in Data Analytics, beginning Fall 2024.

  • The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of earned master’s degree in business with a focus on Analytics, MIS, Econometrics, or a related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution. Although not required, a Ph.D. and a record of recent research activities in Analytics or related domain would be desirable.  
  • Candidates are expected to have proficiency in Python, SQL, and Tabelau/Power BI. 
  • Experience with any cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc. would be highly desirable.  
  • Selected candidates should have industry experience as they will play an integral role in active outreach efforts of the Ronnie K. Irani Center for Data Analytics that is housed within the Meinders School of Business.  

This is a teaching-intensive role, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach 4+4 courses per semester and would be expected to teach some (but not all) of the following courses: 

  • Predictive Analytics  
  • Forecasting 
  • Data Visualization and Storytelling  
  • Data Engineering & SQL  
  • Programming for Data Scientists (Python)  
  • Big Data & Cloud Computing  
  • Data Analysis for Business Decisions

About Ronnie K. Irani Center for Data Analytics

The Ronnie K. Irani Center for Data Analytics is one of three components of Economic Research and Policy Institute (ERPI), which also encompasses the Center for Economic Forecasting and Policy Analysis and the Center for Native American and Urban Studies. The data center was established to provide clients with insights through customized analytic solutions that are adapted to their unique needs. Areas of focus include forecasting, spatial modeling, Monte Carlo analysis, optimization and machine learning. Students competing on behalf of the center have consistently won national awards for data analysis and visualization.
